What this website collects, why, and what you can ask me to do about it.

This is a plain-language starting point, not legal advice. Please have your own attorney review it before relying on it.
This policy explains how Jeremy Van Wert, LMFT, MBA (“I”, “me”) handles information collected through this website. It covers the website only. Information you share once you are an active therapy or coaching client is handled under the separate practice notice and consent forms you sign at intake, and under California and federal health privacy law.
I collect two kinds of information:
I do not sell your information. I do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Please do not send detailed medical history, diagnoses, or clinical concerns through this website, email, or a web form. None of those channels is designed for protected health information. A consultation call or the secure intake process the partner clinic provides is the right place for that.
If you are cleared for ketamine-assisted work, the partner clinic collects and holds your medical screening under its own privacy practices, and it — not this website — is the custodian of that record.
A small number of trusted providers process information on my behalf. Each is bound to use it only to provide their service:
On your first visit you are asked whether to allow cookies used for analytics and measurement. Nothing in that category loads until you accept. If you decline, the site works exactly the same; I simply do not measure your visit. You can change your choice at any time from the Cookie settings link in the footer.
A small amount of strictly necessary storage is always used to remember that choice.
Consultation enquiries and retreat applications are kept for as long as needed to respond and, if you become a client, for as long as professional record-keeping rules require. Otherwise I remove enquiry records once they are no longer relevant. Analytics data is kept in aggregate.
You can ask me what information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. If you are a California resident you have specific rights under the CCPA, including the right to know and the right to delete; I do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined there.
Email me and I will respond. Verified requests are handled within 45 days.
This site is served over an encrypted connection and the forms it embeds are hosted by providers that do the same. No method of transmission over the internet is perfectly secure, which is why sensitive clinical detail belongs in a consultation rather than a web form.
This site is not directed at anyone under 18 and I do not knowingly collect information from minors through it.
If this policy changes in a meaningful way the date below is updated. Please check back occasionally.
